- Lead and implement Kemikon Sourcing framework and key processes, and develop strategic supply base.
- Obtain quotes from local & oversea suppliers, and negotiate price, quantity, and leadtimes to select competitive and competent suppliers
- Identify continuous cost reduction opportunities to meet Company cost savings targets
- Be the point of escalation to resolve any cost, quality, and delivery issues from suppliers
- Evaluate key supplier performance on quality standards, delivery time & best prices, and identify supplier risks in terms of quality, delivery, cost, capacity, etc, and lead efforts to address those risks
- Drive key supplier performance through QBR reviews, scorecards, and continuous improvement plans
- Prepare monthly supplier analysis report and purchase history
- Manage supplier relationship including governance structures and issue management
- Organize and update the supplier database, and manage and maintaining new approved suppliers and Item (article) data into ERP systems
- Ensure strict compliance to the procurement policy at all times, and that all procurement related documents are properly archived according to the SOP requirements and for audit purposes.
Requirements
- Diploma in sourcing or similar, with at least 5 years of work experience in sourcing in related industry
- Thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies and frameworks
- Solid analytical skills, with experience in cost analyses
- Strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical & electronics products will be added advantage
- Ability to analyse bills of material and drawing will be added advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications, such as Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point
- Good communication and interpersonal skill, strong character, outspoken and independent.
- Highly organized and efficient in time management, with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Able to work independently and under pressure, and ready to extend working hours if necessary.
- Able to speak and write in English, Bahasa and Mandarin
